“C-caleb,” he stammered, suddenly shy now that she was smiling at him.

“This is a fine sword, Caleb,” Ariel praised graciously, looking at the intricate craftsmanship. “Thank you for allowing me to use it.”

“You’re welcome, mistress,” the boy murmured, blushing furiously at the compliment.

“Someone still needs to teach her how to hold it,” one warrior interjected as she stood back up.
